Jordan Typography
Inspired by a recent Facebook group documenting funny things 'overheard' in Waitrose supermarkets, I was inspired to create a slightly more sarcastic and hopefully humorous response to the brief of creating instructions on how to be 'polite'. I decided to utilise real complaints from Waitrose shoppers found on Twitter, to create small instructional and advice cards, that direct a response to Tweet. I deliberately labeled each card, such as 'utter despair' or 'New product suggestions' that then included advice to would be Waitrose shoppers on how to deal with some of the 'frightful' situations that can occur in Britain's poshest supermarket. For the actual styling of the Waitrose politeness cards themselves, I was inspired by the styling of the My Waitrose cards, which I wanted to emulate the style of, obviously without the use of any imagery at all. I was sure to use the Waitrose colour palette and typography to further add to this styling.
